Horses are one of the most popular pets in the United States. Horses come in a wide variety of sizes – some as small as a dog and others larger than a moose! With over 250 breeds worldwide, there is a horse to suit every need or desire. They are loving and loyal pets, and will be a very special part of your life for many years.
Farm animals possess as much love and intelligence as any other pet you might have in your life. They are just as deserving of a loving home. Cows are social creatures and interact with each other in complex ways that form incredible bonds. Sheep and goats are notorious pranksters. They are often found wagging their tails as they flit around the farm like social butterflies. Pigs are the brains of the barnyard, and also enjoy socializing and playing with other animals and people. Chickens and turkeys have cognitive capabilities equal to those of primates! They also form friendships, possess strong personalities and have a wide range of interests. (And chickens give you breakfast!)
Though not mainstream pets, farm animals are individuals in their own right and need your love, too.
