Anyone and everyone. There is power in numbers who share focused, purposeful attention. The idea is to raise the collective consciousness for how animals are treated, so the more people that can participate, the better. You do not need to be with anyone else to “Pause.” Just know that whether alone or in a group, you are joining an ever growing network of like-minded people setting a powerful intention for the liberation of all animals.
How P4P Works:
It’s really simple. Everyday at 4 o’clock (am and/or pm) stop what you are doing and take a brief moment to intend, visualize, pray for, give thought to, or whatever activity works for you: sing, dance, chant, doodle, etc… for the freedom of animals. Set an alarm if it helps. Your “Pause” does not have to be elaborate or time consuming. The important things are that your “Pause” is heartfelt, done at 4 o’clock (or as close to as possible), said for animals…and that you believe it. Know it as already done. If you miss 4 o’clock for whatever reason – don’t fret. Take your “Pause” as soon as you remember, and aim to join in at 4 o’clock the next time you can.
Samples of P4P:
Sample 1: [Pause and take a deep breath, then think or say aloud something like…] “In the greatness of this infinite Universe, I know that animals are beautiful magnificent beings, capable of their own thoughts and feelings. Across the entire globe I see animals roaming, flying, swimming…free from pain and suffering – liberated into the natural structures of their own kingdoms…free from harm and danger. I give great thanks that this is so, as I know it with all my heart and mind to be.” [Take another deep breath, then go about your business.]
Sample 2: [Pause, then affirm…] “May peace towards animals fill the hearts and minds of humankind.”
Sample 3: [Pause, and see in your imagination…] The furry walking free. The feathered flying free. The finned swimming free.
Sing a song…Dance a dance…Paint a picture…The idea is to make up your own “Pause” that works for you!
